Spirax Sarco

Spirax Sarco is the recognized industry standard for knowledge and products and for over 85 years has been committed to servicing steam users worldwide. The existing and potential applications for steam, water, and air are virtually unlimited. Beginning with steam generation through distribution and utilization and ultimately returning condensate to the boiler, Spirax Sarco has the solutions to optimize steam system performance and increase productivity to save valuable time and money.

Automated Boiler Controls & Systems

An extensive range of boiler controls and systems is available from Spirax Sarco. Whether it's a new installation or a retrofit application, Spirax Sarco will have the answer.
  • Level Controls -- Significant developments have taken place in recent years improving considerably the standards of safety and reliability of boiler level controls. Probes without moving parts and modern electronic solid state controllers are so reliable that major boiler accidents should be a thing of the past.
  • Boiler TDS control system -- As steam forms it leaves behind impurities and dissolved solids in the boiler water that will concentrate unless blown down. The TDS (total dissolved solids) in the boiler must be controlled accurately. High TDS will result in carryover of boiler water and impurities causing problems with production and plant. Low TDS due to too much blowdown will be expensive in fuel costs and water treatment chemical losses. Systems are available for firetube and watertube boilers.
  • Condensate contamination detection systems -- Even low levels of contamination can cause foaming, scaling and corrosion in the boiler. The contamination detection system monitors the conductivity of the condensate and will raise an alarm and divert it to drain if a pre-set limit is passed.

TD52 Steam Trap
Cap Design Features

  • New larger Insulcap design minimizes the effect of adverse ambient conditions.
  • New insulation pockets reduce the cycle rate of the trap for longer life and increased efficiency.
  • Metal-to-metal cap/body joint does not require gasketing.

Disc Features

  • Hardened stainless steel disc shuts off tightly between cycles.
  • Turbulence grooves located on the underside of the disc ensure that the trap closes just before live steam reaches the inlet.

Seating Surface Feature

  • Induction-hardened seating surfaces promote longer trap life.

3-Channel Outlet Feature

  • Three channel outlets ensure that the disc remains parallel to the seat for improved performance and reduced wear.

Face-to-Face Dimensions Feature

  • Face-to-face dimensions are identical to previous model, simplifying replacement.
